Diane White

On September 24, 2016, Lead Officer Diane White was working the 2nd shift at the School of Art Institute of Chicago.  Officer White, while on patrol, was exiting out of the 112 S Michigan building and overheard an argument between several individuals on the Northeast corner of Michigan and Monroe.  Before she could investigate, she heard two gun shots, ducked for cover, and saw one of the men in the group fall down. Officer White immediately called 911 and reported what she witnessed.  Officer White then provided First Aid care to the victim who had two fatal gunshot wounds and consoled the other witnesses until the paramedics and police arrived on scene.
