Bio - Anthony Varchetto

Anthony F. Varchetto is the Co-Founder and President of Blue Star Security LLC.  He has over 20 years of high-level experience in law enforcement.  In January 2022, he retired from his role as a Sergeant with the Chicago Police Departments Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) task force to focus his efforts on continuing the growth of the business.

Over the course of his extensive law enforcement and private security career, which included assignments to specialized units such as gang, tactical, and the organized crime narcotics division, Anthony has developed expertise in risk assessments, investigations, and supply chain security.  He is a licensed private security contractor and private detective in Illinois, Wisconsin, and Indiana and holds a bachelor’s degree in Public Safety Management from Calumet College of St. Joseph.

As President of Blue Star Security, a private security agency that employs over 850 active and retired Police Officers, Anthony oversees the company’s daily field operations as well as administrative tasks, including licensing, insurance, and compliance procedures.  He believes in building trusted client relationships and communicates regularly with all clients to ensure that they’re consistently receiving the finest security services.

Anthony is also a founding member of Bank the Blue, a nonprofit organization that provides mental health resources to law enforcement professionals throughout the Chicagoland area.
