DSI Security Services Acquires Apex3 Systems, Strengthens Chicago Presence & Adds Key Leadership
DOTHAN, Ala. (September 22, 2025) DSI Security Services is pleased to announce the acquisition of Apex3 Systems, a leading technology-focused security provider based in Chicago, Illinois. The strategic acquisition was completed on August 15, 2025, marking a significant milestone in DSI’s continued expansion in the Midwest while reinforcing its commitment to delivering innovative, value-driven security solutions nationwide.

As part of the acquisition, several Apex3 Systems leaders will step into key executive roles at DSI:
James Taff, CPP, will serve as Vice President of Sales-Midwest
Zain Shahzada has been named Vice President of Information Security
Michael Potter, CPP, will assume the role of Vice President of Operations-Technology Solutions
The acquisition also includes Apex3 Systems’ innovative Apex360 platform, a cutting-edge solution designed to enhance training, situational awareness, and communication. DSI plans to integrate this powerful tool into its broader service offering to provide next-generation solutions for customers nationwide.
