Bio - Kevin Hale

Mr. Kevin Hale has taught and coached in Central Illinois for 35 years.  Kevin has coached Varsity Football, Basketball and Baseball all over Central Illinois. 
Kevin is a Guest Opinion writer for the "Herald & Review" and writes stories that make you think, cry and laugh.  He was the 2017 #1 Herald and Review Teacher of the Year an award to this day he says he doesn’t deserve. Mr. Hale volunteers at the Millikin Market Food Pantry to try and fend off food insecurity for college students on Millikin’s college campus and in the Decatur community. He is a newly elected member of the Decatur School Board where he presently serves.
