The Illinois Security Professionals Association® owes a great deal of its success to the extensive list of relationships and partnerships that have been developed with a wide array of allied associations and organizations since the inception of the organization back in 1961. Throughout the years, we have established excellent working relationships with the Illinois Association of Chiefs of Police, FBI, US Secret Service, Department of Homeland Security, Illinois State Police, Chicago Police Department, Chicago Fire Department and other first responders throughout the state of Illinois.

The Association of Threat Assessment Professionals (ATAP) was founded in 1992 as a non-profit organization comprised of law enforcement, prosecutors, mental health professionals, corporate security experts, probation and parole personnel and others involved in the area of threat and violence risk assessment. The purpose of ATAP is to afford its members a professional and educational environment to exchange ideas and strategies to address such issues as stalking, threats, and homeland security. The primary focus of this organization is to provide the necessary knowledge, tools, and support to better prepare our membership to handle these types of situations. Our commitment is to expertly address these issues through seminars and training and networking with other professionals working in this field. | |
Founded in 1955, ASIS International is a global community of security practitioners, each of whom has a role in the protection of assets - people, property, and/or information. Our members represent virtually every industry in the public and private sectors, and organizations of all sizes. From entry-level managers to CSOs to CEOs, from security veterans to consultants and those transitioning from law enforcement or the military, the ASIS community is global and diverse. The ASIS Chicago Chapter, a local subset of the international organization, is among the top ten largest chapters in the organization, with over 700 members throughout the area. The goal of the chapter is to promote safety and security in every realm of the profession, including healthcare facilities, campus safety, corporate / commercial real estate, the public sector, critical infrastructure protection, and distribution centers. This is accomplished by bringing together practitioners from every field and allowing them to support one another through the sharing of knowledge, ideas, and experience. The Chapter also utilizes its various security providers and vendors, who champion the latest technology and developments in system upgrades and integration. | |
Building Owners and Managers Association of Chicago BOMA/Chicago is a trade association that has represented the interests of the Chicago office building industry since 1902. Membership includes 247 commercial office, institutional and public buildings and 157 companies that provide commercial building services to support operational excellence. BOMA/Chicago members make up approximately 95 percent of downtown’s total rentable building area and 100 percent of rentable space in Class A buildings downtown. |

BOMA/Suburban Chicago serves real estate professionals working in the commercial real estate industry through effective leadership, advocacy, education, professional development, and the analysis of information affecting the industry today and in the future. The Building Owners and Managers Association of Suburban Chicago has served the commercial office industry for 50 years. Founded in December 1970, BOMA/Suburban Chicago actively and responsibly represents and promotes the interests of the industry through effective leadership and advocacy; through the collection, analysis, and dissemination of information; and through professional development and education. |
