CHIEF DWAYNE BETTS BIO

Chief Dwayne Betts has a 33-year career in law enforcement.  Starting his career with the Chicago Police Department in 1983, Chief Betts ascended police ranks from patrol officer to district commander.  He then served as a Deputy Chief before enjoying retirement for three years.  Chief Betts was appointed as Chicago State University's Campus Police Department Chief in August 2023.
